Karen enjoys practicing different areas of law because of the thrill of advocacy: she has a passion for helping others. She assists both individual and corporate clients with contracts, negotiations, and court appearances. Karen is actively involved in several community projects. She volunteers her time as an attorney for efforts such as the Domestic Violence clinic in Chicago, Prairie State Legal Services in Lake County, and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court. She serves on several Boards which provide community services such as giving clothes, school supplies, and transportation vouchers to people in need, teaching vocational skills to teens and adults, helping high school students who have fallen behind to graduate on time, assisting girls in the foster care system transition into adulthood and independent living, and training ministers to provide counseling and prayer services to hospitals. Karen is also a Board member for the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County, and she appears as a public speaker for organizations and events in various communities.
